Teens Cited After Separate Oswego Crashes

One driver also charged with possession of cannabis.

Teenagers were cited for two separate crashes on Plainfield Road Thursday in Oswego, police said.

At around 8:20 p.m., a car driven by 18-year-old Regan Borg of Aurora rear-ended another vehicle at Plainfield Road and Templeton, police said.

Borg was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to police.

Borg and a 49-year-old Yorkville woman, who was a passenger in the other vehicle, were taken to Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora following the crash. Police did not have information Friday on their conditions.

Two other passengers in the vehicle Borg hit were uninjured, police reports said.

In a second incident, a 17-year-old male juvenile was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after striking a parkway tree at Linden Drive and Plainfield Road, police said. No one was hurt in that crash, according to police.
