Three Hurt in Another School Bus Accident

Traughber bus struck from behind.

Another Oswego school bus was involved in a traffic accident Friday afternoon.

According to Kristine Liptrot, District 308's director of communications, bus 25 was hit from behind at about 3:20 p.m at Soutbury Boulevard and Mystic Court. Three students were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, complaining of neck and back pain.

The bus was mid-route and was carrying about 25 students at the time, Liptrot said. The driver of the bus was uninjured, but a replacement driver was brought in to finish the route.

A phone and email message was sent to all parents with students on the bus at about 3:30 p.m., Liptrot said. 

The driver of the vehicle that hit the bus was not injured.

This accident comes entering the school lot on Tuesday. Two students were taken to the hospital in that accident.
