Tractor Trailer Driver Caught Speeding 71mph in Construction Zone: Sheriff

Sunday, Nov. 3

DUI

Sarah An Keown, 21, of the 100 bock of Route 31, Oswego, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Fernwood Road, Oswego, and charged with driving under the influence, said the Sheriff’s office. She struck two legally parked, unoccupied motor vehicles in the incident.

Warrant

Rocio Rizo, 28, of the 0-99 block of Codorus, Montgomery, was arrested at 11:50 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Boulder Hill Pass on a warrant out of Kane County for obstructing justice, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for speeding 40mph in a 30mph zone.

Obstructing identification, curfew violation

A male juvenile, 16, was taken into custody at 5:01 a.m. at Augusta Road and Kevin Lane, Oswego, and charged for obstructing identification and a curfew violation after providing deputies with the wrong date of birth, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for not wearing a seatbelt. He was released to a parent.

Saturday, Nov. 2

DUI

  • Kathleen Laura Lamb, 21, of the 300 block of Lisa Lane, Somonauk, was arrested at 7 a.m. at Eldamain Road and Schaefer Road, Bristol, and charged for driving under the influence, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies responded to the area for a single vehicle accident and found that Lamb, the driver of the vehicle, had fallen asleep at the wheel and drove her vehicle into a ditch.
  • Patrick Lee Dodd, 57, of the 500 block of Cleveland Avenue, Batavia, was arrested at 7:42 p.m. at Blackhawk Boulevard and Galena Road, Bristol, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper parking and illegal transportation of alcohol after deputies observed his vehicle parked perpendicular to the curb, said the Sheriff’s office.

Criminal defacement to property

Two juveniles were found to have spray painted a shed and trees in the 100 block of Braeburn, Montgomery and the juveniles were referred to the juvenile court system, said the Sheriff’s office.

Thursday, Oct. 31

No valid driver’s license

Juan Mariano Guzman-Garcia, 36, of the 100 block of Tealwood Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:18 p.m. at Route 25 and Boulder Hill Pass and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license after he was stopped for speeding 51mph in a 40mph zone and having an inoperable rear registration light, said the Sheriff’s office.

Wednesday, Oct. 30

Aggravated DUI, driving with revoked license

Jose Antonio Holguin, 31, of the 300 block of Grand Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 1:49 a.m. at Route 31 and Caterpillar Drive, Oswego, and charged with two counts of aggravated DUI and one felony count of driving with a revoked license, said the Sheriff’s office after he was stopped for improper lane use and improper stopping on a roadway. He was also cited for the illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver. 

Curfew violation

A male juvenile, 16, was arrested at 3:48 a.m. at Route 47 and Van Emmon, Bristol, and charged with a curfew violation after he was observed walking on Route 47, said the Sheriff’s office.

Tuesday, Oct. 29

Speeding 40mph+

Robert Eric Coleman, 48, of the 2800 block of Poplar Point Drive, College Park, Georgia, was arrested at 11:29 p.m. at Route 47 and Center Street, Bristol, and charged with spending 40mph + over the posted speed limit, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies stopped Coleman, who was driving a tractor-trailer, for speeding through a 30mph construction zone at 71mph. He was also cited for speeding in a construction zone.
