Tuesday Crash Victim Identified

Man had recently moved from Glen Ellyn to Naperville.

The 53-year-old man who died in a single car crash Tuesday at about 11 a.m. near has been identified as Vincent T. O’Reilly of the 2000 block of Schomaher Drive, Naperville.

Craig French, Kendall County Sheriff’s Police public information officer, had originally identified O’Reilly as living in Glen Ellyn. French said he had moved to Naperville in the past couple of weeks.

O’Reilly was headed north on Harvey Road about a quarter-mile south of Wolf Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and went into the west-side ditch. The car rolled and he was thrown from the car, French said. He was not wearing his seat belt.

O’Reilly was traveling alone at the time of the accident and no other vehicles were involved.

He was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center by Oswego Fire Protection District personnel where he was pronounced dead at about 11 a.m.
