Two Injured, One Charged in Single-Vehicle Route 34 Crash
James Pocius of Wauconda was charged with drunken driving after the 7 p.m. crash. A 72-year-old Oswego woman was also injured.
A 72-year-old woman was injured and a man from Wauconda was charged with drunken driving after a single-car crash at Route 34 and Heritage Drive on Friday evening, said.
Details were unavailable Saturday morning, but police said that James Pocius, 32, of Wauconda, was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after the 7 p.m. crash.
Ruth Howard, 72, of the 400 block of Barbnaby Court in Oswego, was injured in the crash, and both she and Pocius were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where they were treated and released.
