Two Victims of Sunday Crash Still in Hospital, One Released

The crash remains under investigation, Oswego police said.

The 18-year-old Montgomery girl injured in a on Route 30 remains in critical condition, according to a spokeswoman at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m., when two cars, one driven by James Biever, 50, of Big Rock, and the other by Anthony Halstead, 19, of Oswego, collided near the intersection of Route 30 and Douglas Road, police said. Davis was a passenger in Halstead’s car, police said.

Davis was flown to Good Samaritan. Halstead was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where he was treated for injuries and later discharged, according to a spokeswoman there. The driver of a third vehicle involved in the accident, Ariana Stone, 18, of Aurora, remains at Rush-Copley in good condition, the spokeswoman said.

Both Halstead and Biever were ticketed for failure to yield to avoid an accident. Biever was not hospitalized. said Thursday that the incident remains under investigation.
