Driver Charged with DUI in Pearce's Ford Accident

Oswego man transported to Loyola University Medical Center.

Andrew Daylor, 42, of 412 Matena Drive, Oswego, has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after driving a minivan into a yard in the 600 block of Pearce's Ford Road at about 6:30 p.m. Monday, according to Oswego police.

and fire responded to the scene that closed Pearce's Ford at Lucky Court and Waubonsee Drive for a short time as firefighters worked to free Daylor from the vehicle, which had struck two trees and flipped on its side.

Daylor was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for his injuries, according to Oswego police. He was later transported to Loyola University Medical Center for further care, according to police.

A helicopter was originally called to transport Daylor, but inclement weather did not allow for it, police said. 

Daylor was given a March 14 court date.
