Bill Foster to Speak at Combined Oswego Robotics Team Event

The open house is scheduled for Saturday at Oswego East High School.

Congressman Bill Foster (D-11) will be among the attendees as the combined Oswego/Oswego East robotics team shows off its skills during its first "Gear it Forward" open house this weekend.

Foster, a scientist himself, announced will be a speaker at the Feb. 15 event at Oswego East High School, 1525 Harvey Rd.

Foster was a high-energy physicist and particle accelerator designer at Fermilab. He was also a member of the team that discovered the top quark, the heaviest known form of matter, and led the teams that designed and built several scientific facilities and detectors still in use today, including the Recycler Ring, the latest of Fermilab's giant particle accelerators.

The robotics team open house is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m.
