Downtown Pizza Place Gets Final OK

Cousins to get $130,000 from revolving loan fund.

In a 6-0 vote, trustees approved a lease with an option to buy for the village-owned building at 65 W. Washington St., which is the proposed location for the eatery. The board also approved a loan of $130,000 for the restaurant’s owners from the village’s revolving loan fund at a rate of 3 percent over 10 years.

The owners, Billy Fecarotta Lumino, and his cousin Dominic Fecarotta recently presented the village with a more detailed business plan explaining their concept for the eatery.

The restaurant will have a firehouse theme and will serve New York-style pizza. The cousins also have plans to host local fundraisers once the business is established. They hope to open by year’s end.

“This is great,” said Village President Brian LeClercq. “We’re starting to get this village-owned property downtown back on the tax rolls.”

The leases the adjacent 63 W. Washington St. from the village, and LeClercq said several businesses have shown interest in locating in the old Village Hall at 113 Main St.
