Kendall County to Host Emergency Preparedness Workshop

Event aimed at helping people with disabilities and their families be better prepared for an emergency.

Kendall County Health Department will host an emergency preparedness workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 28, at Oswego Fire Sation 1, 3511 Woolley Road.

The event is presented by the American Red Cross and the Illinois Department of Public Health’s Disability & Health Program to provide training for people with disabilities and their families to become better prepared for emergencies.

Guests will learn how to develop and emergency plan and emergency kit, as well as providing specific tips for people with disabilities or special needs.

Toolkits will be available to meet the needs of participants with sight disabilities.
