Oswego Village Board members have approved annexation, rezoning and preliminary planned unit development ordinances for a Speedway gas station at Route 30 and Wolf’s Crossing Road, according to the Beacon News.

The company plans to build a 4,600-square-foot convenience store and 10-pump gas station at the site.

As part of the agreement, the developer has agreed to make roadway improvements required by IDOT and dedicate additional right-of-way on Wolf's Crossing Road to accommodate future improvements. The company will also install sidewalks along the south and east sides of the 1.75-acre property.

A church owned the property. We thought they had our best interest in mind.

That's funny, thinking a church would have the best interests of anyone except themselves in mind. It is all about money and obviously Speedway paid them a lot of it.

Route 30 is a state highway. It's unreasonable to think that commercial development would not happen at various intersections. Hopefully those of you who bought houses nearby got them cheap enough to offset the adverse factors.

Terrible decision!

Churches are big business, why would you think they would have your interest ahead if theirs? A bit naive....
