Village Road Projects Beginning in Coming Weeks

Some of Oswego's worst streets to get much-needed attention.

Some of Oswego’s worst roads will start to see improvements now that the village has appropriated about $757,000 in motor/fuel tax revenue for the projects.

Work should begin in the coming weeks. Director of Public Works Jerry Weaver said once the contracts are signed the village’s contractor, Aurora Blacktop, has 90 days to complete it.

The following is a list of roads that will receive resurfacing this summer.

Weaver said it's uncertain whether the work on Wolf Road will begin this year or next.

"It all depends on when the money from the state comes through," he said.

Meanwhile, the widening of Wolf Road is likely years away, Weaver said, with a total estimated cost of between $30 million and $35 million.
