Vote: These Vets are All "Pawsome," But Who's the Best?

Over 1,400 votes have been cast for the best vet in all of Oswego, Yorkville and Montgomery.

It has only been a few days, but the votes for the best vet in the area are rolling in.

Patch readers nominated eight veterinarian offices or clinics in the Oswego,  Yorkville and Montgomery areas, and just over 1,400 votes have been cast.

Critter Care, located on the border of Plano and Yorkville, is currently in the lead with 30 percent of the votes. It is followed closely by Oswego's River Heights Veterinary Hospital with 27 percent.

Orchard Road Animal Hospital in Montgomery rounds out the top three with 15 percent in its favor.

Readers had these comments to say about the current top two contenders:

Critter Care

Kelly Dr. Peterson and her staff are awesome! Small, hometown feel, but very talented, experienced vets. Wouldn't trust my two with anyone else!
Ashley G. Dr. Peterson and her staff are awesome! Small, hometown feel, but very talented, experienced vets. Wouldn't trust my two with anyone else!
Nicole M. Dr. Player from Critter Care!! She genuinely cares about the overall well being of your pet. She takes the time to be thorough and honest. Her passion in the wellness of your pet far exceeds your expectations!
Jodie M. Critter Care is my favorite place to take our doggies. They are always so kind and they don't pressure you to buy unnecessary things. Dr Robbins is a great vet. Plus he does a lot for Yorkville schools.

River Heights Veterinary Hospital

Karin D. River Heights animal hospital! Been going there since the late Dr. Koch owned it. Staff and doctors are great. Dr. Pocius always takes great care of my pets.
Carol My Dogs absolutely love Dr. Weaver, she provides excellent care, extremely kind and caring to all the animals. River Heights has excellent staff, a very clean facility and provide the best care any pet owner could ask for. Four paw star rating!!!!
Andy W. By Far, River Heights Veterinary Hospital is the best. Been going there for over 20 years with our dogs and cats. Outstanding doctors who care - and the Technicians are wonderful. These folks go above and beyond for you and your pets.
Catherine G. River Heights Veterinary Clinic! Just had a cancerous growth removed from Shelby's side (Golden Retriever - 10 years). Thanks to Dr. Weaver the report came back that it had clean margins so hopefully she will have several good years. I also received excellent care from Dr. Kim Mayer when my cat was sick and had to be put down.

Any veternarian office/clinic can still earn the title of the best from Patch readers! Be sure to cast your vote in the poll above.

Voting ends on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 5 p.m.
