Vote: Where's the Best Pizza in Oswego?

Voting ends next Thursday.

Well Oswego pizza lovers, it looks like we've got quite a few options around town!

Patch readers nominated 10 pizza places in Oswego as to who they think has the best slice of pizza pie (or square, whichever your preference).

Now that nominations are in, you'll need to vote! Select your favorite pizza place in the poll above and feel free to add a comment of why they're your favorite below.

Voting ends on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 5 p.m.

May the best pizza win!

Incorrect, Nina. I am not a "pissed off owner of the place they're defending cause they aren't getting the votes they want." I am a unbiased individual who is extremely ethical and was only calling attention to my findings; but thank you for your unwarranted and erroneous comment.

Marybeth, I have not had the soup at Danelli's, but I am going to try it sometime in the very near future. I hope you are correct, I am going to hold you to your word!!

And my point exactly, Art. Without Giordano's or Olive Garden deciphering their objective on Facebook, their numbers will lack because their message will not reach the sheer numbers that one will with the use of social media. The likes on Facebook are respective of how hard it would be for CPA to amass so many votes in such a short time-frame.

Art you are right in your thought, but this is local Oswego! So I dont think there 50k fans are all from Oswego! Again this is Best Pizza in Oswego not the US! And being honest, This is why Pizza is top 3 food in US. People are so passionate about it. Thats why my family has been in the business for over 30 years!
Dom Fecarotta January 03, 2014 at 02:23 PM
I think everyone on this Blog is probably good people! Let's talk Pizza not trash! I'll say 1 thing, if Al's Pizza in Cicero was in this they'd win hands down! Anybody ever try it?
Dom Fecarotta January 03, 2014 at 02:30 PM
Nina & Ashley just because you are ex employees of Firehouse you dont have to hate cause we still love You's!
Dom Fecarotta January 03, 2014 at 02:36 PM
Art I'm not arguing you are wrong, just stating that Giardanos might have 50k fans but maybe only 50 in Oswego. I agree FB is not the only avenue of networking. Word of mouth is best! You are 100% correct

If you add statistics to the equation and then include the information from various studies you will find the direct correlation in that once the initial text message is sent, the actual message will only reach a small percentage of the audience… Meaning that CPA would have to send their initial text message to an enormous number of people before they could reach their vote count. Then there becomes an issue of second and third party votes which require an emotional or direct correlation to the voting lines. When there is no ethical reward or satisfaction for that person, or direct correlation with the sender, those numbers drop even more drastically. It may be an opinion to say that you are not looking at the entire picture, but only at the secondary associations of the collectives.

Firehouse pizza is pretty good. I just wish their pizzas come in different sizes instead of just huge.
Roy Rumaner January 03, 2014 at 09:10 PM
Logansdad, I just order them by the slice. One is usually all I can eat anway.
Matt Salis January 03, 2014 at 11:58 PM
Is there any prize for this? What would be the point of cheating? Who cares about online polls anyway. 1 place on the list won a real taste test. "Best tasting pizza in Oswego." I think that says a lot more than some poll on the patch.

I have nothing to hate on. Just because I worked for you doesn't mean anything. I actually do like CPA's pizza better.
Nina Swistara Hernandez January 04, 2014 at 12:21 AM
Yea reallly just because i worked for you doesn't mean I have to like your pizza the best. The only reason I ate it was cause I got it 50% off
Ashlee Reininger January 04, 2014 at 12:46 AM
I think it's such a "coincidence" that when Dom start commenting again, "seriously" starts commenting again... Just pointing that out. It's obvious

Ashley I'm so confused where u r coming from? We don't hide!!! We bust our butt at the firehouse every single day since that place opened. We OBVIOUSLY think we have amazing pizza! If we didn't we should not have a pizzeria, don't u think? Dominick's family has had successful pizzerias in Florida for a very long time, like 10 yrs before u were born. This nothing new to him, he was raised in this business. And 100% We defend our business not only in social media , EVERYWHERE ! This restaurant is like a baby to us. We clean, we cook, we promote, we shovel snow, we do anything that we have to do to make it successful. We are not sour people, or defensive owners. We eat at tap house a few times a month, that restaurant is less than a block away from firehouse It would be ridiculous to think that we are the ONLY good restaurant in town. Family restaurant, danellis, mike and Denise, tap house, sakamoto and 10 other restaurants are great places to go and enjoy a meal. We will NEVER HIDE! And we will always proudly defend our business !!! Vic

Matt, here's a hint: free marketing tool. Haha Ashlee, it is quite obvious that you are completely delusional, and lack intelligence and reasoning skills.

How do I stop receiving email updates? This is quite annoying while I try to sleep...
Ashlee Reininger January 04, 2014 at 02:41 AM
I'm not the puss hiding behind the name "seriously?" Why don't you come out and say who you really are. Fool.
Natalie Stevens (Editor) January 04, 2014 at 07:52 AM
Okay everyone, this is not supposed to be turning into name-calling. The poll is set up so that it does track IP addresses, which we will review. You are also only able to vote once per device, so once you cast your vote on your computer, tablet, mobile and whatever else have you, you can't vote again on this particular poll.
Natalie Stevens (Editor) January 04, 2014 at 07:52 AM
Also, all those nominated were notified via Facebook (if they have an active one) or by calling or contacting each store. So even if you don't have a large FB presence, if you're advertising in store that can lead to additional votes.
Steve Jameson January 04, 2014 at 03:31 PM
I'm not sure how people can think that Olive Garden is even close to good food it might be edible at best I'm not even sure how they made the list!
Seriously? January 05, 2014 at 12:08 PM
To keep consistent with the Patch's determinations.... you, Ashlee, are a fool for not recognizing your right to anonymity, and you too are a puss for not accepting or respecting others rights. Why don't you come out and clear up how your decision making process is poor, and your uninformed statements have no bearing on reality?
Hector January 05, 2014 at 12:29 PM
Seriously, to remove email notifications, log in at the top, click where it shows "Hi Seriously", go to email settings, un-check the notifications. I also was getting annoyed with the constant barrage of notifications at all hours.
Seriously? January 05, 2014 at 12:34 PM

I have only been to fire house pub once pizza was delicious but dine in experience fell a little short. The decor was great staff was fantastic but it was so loud I couldn't enjoy a conversation with the people at my table.I will go back again to see if it was a 1 time thing .:) pizza was good though that's for sure!
Ashlee Reininger January 12, 2014 at 10:39 AM
