Elections are nonpartisan and board candidates do not indicate a political party affiliation. Candidates should be aware of financial conflict-of-interests limitations set forth in State law.

The number of school board members who can be elected from anyone of the congressional townships is limited to three, unless voters have previously approved a proposition to have ‘at large’ representation through the District.

Currently, three school board members whose terms do not expire until 2015 reside within Oswego Township, T37N R8E. No additional school board members may be elected from Oswego Township, T37N R8E, at the April 9, 2013 election unless ‘at large’ representation has been approved at a past election.
