District 308 Board Interviewing Final Superintendent Candidates This Week

Meetings moved from Naperville restaurant to Oswego High School.

Board President Bill Walsh revealed at Monday night’s regular board meeting that 221 candidates from 36 states showed interest in the position through the district’s search firm Ray and Associates. Of those 221, 60 from 22 states applied. Ray and Associates brought the board 10 of those candidates.

Walsh said the board then narrowed that field to six and . Those six were then narrowed to the final two. Tuesday night's meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday's will be held at 7 p.m. in the OHS community room.

The board is quickly running out of time to fill the position, as O’Donnell’s last day on the job will be June 30.

The board canceled last week’s final interviews at  in Naperville after constituents expressed displeasure with the board for planning meetings outside the district.
