Maverick Cross Country Team Sends Two Runners to the IESA State Meet

Ashley Tyburski and Jake McEneaney participated in the IESA State Cross Country Meet.

Editor's note: The following is a press release issued by Oswego School District 308:

Murphy Junior High had two students participate in the IESA State Cross Country Meet on Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Bloomington, Illinois.  Seventh grade student, Ashley Tyburski participated in the girls’ 2A race.  She finished the two-mile course in 12:57 in 44th place out of over 180 runners in grades 7 and 8.  Eighth grade student, Jake McEneaney completed the two-mile course in 11:08.  Jake was a place winner coming in 13th out of over 180 runners in grades 7 and 8.

Coaches Hilary Schatz and Sarah Seconde are particularly proud of Jake and Ashley.  They represented the school well and established a high standard of excellence for student to follow in the years to come.
