OHS Homecoming Parade Travels Through Downtown Today

The parade starts at 5 p.m. near the South Lot at Oswego High School.

On Wednesday will hold its annual Homecoming Parade.  This event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m.  The parade route will include the following streets:

  • Route 71
  • Route 34
  • Garfield Street
  • Jefferson Street
  • Main Street
  • Tyler Street
  • Ashland Street
  • Washington Street
  • Franklin Street

Many of these streets run through the Villageˇs downtown area and intersect with busy intersections.  Traffic will be periodically stopped to allow for the parade to proceed through the downtown area.

Therefore, you can expect delays if you are traveling through downtown Oswego during the date and time mentioned.  To avoid any delays during your afternoon commute, it is recommended you take an alternate route.

Oswego Police Officers and Community Service Officers will be located at intersections most affected by the parade route and will assist with traffic control in these areas.  You are asked to remain patient while the parade is traveling through the downtown area.
