Olympic Bobsledder Visits Oswego East for STEM Presentation

Johnny Quinn, who competed in Sochi, was at OEHS on March 17.

Submitted by Oswego School District 308:

Oswego East High School rang in St. Patrick’s Day with a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) presentation from DeVry University. The presentation focused on STEM application in sports, and included a talk from Johnny Quinn, U.S. Sochi Olympics bobsledder, and former NFL wide receiver.

This STEM presentation provided insight into careers that benefit athletes, engineers, instructional technologists, communities seeking infrastructure improvements, and many other tangential individuals and municipalities.

More than three million STEM careers are currently available. Oswego East High School is working to prepare students for these types of roles in a technological society.
