Oswego And Oswego East Girls Soccer Teams Lacing Up for a Cause

Teams will be hosting several games and events to raise money for pediatric cancer.

The Oswego and Oswego East girls soccer teams are teaming up to fight pediatric cancer.

The event, called Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer, will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oswego High School soccer fields. The event’s purpose is to help children and their families that have been affected by cancer.

Tickets will be sold for family fun events and there will be food available from Chick-fil-A and a variety of concessions and a bake sale.

Soccer games will be played throughout the day, which are free to attend. The line-up is as follows.

  • 9:30 a.m.: youth soccer games (ages 5-10)
  • 10 a.m.: junior varsity soccer games
  • 10:30 a.m. JV senior day recognition
  • 11 a.m.: junior high school games; OEHS JV scrimmage
  • 12 p.m.: varsity senior day recognition
  • 12: 30 p.m. varsity soccer games

The family fun events will go from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include a bags tournament, kite flying “shoot the hoop,” a bounce house and face painting.
