Oswego Robotics Team Competes in VEX Robotic Challenge

Challenge for mini-competition was released in late October.

On Saturday, December 8, the Oswego Robotics (FIRST FRC Team 2338 - Gear it Forward) headed to Winnebago, IL to compete in the annual VEX Robotic “Flapjack Challenge.”

Students and mentors enjoyed flapjacks while they watched the robots compete and advance to elimination rounds. One of the two OEHS/OHS VEX robots advanced all the way to the winning alliance.

The challenge for the mini-competition was released in late October. Participating teams from Aurora, Batavia, Mundelein, Oswego and Winnebago were given 6 weeks to brainstorm, design, build, and test drive their robotic creations.

Veteran team members helped new members of the Oswego team with the two robots that competed. This training and competition prepares the new members for the large-scale FIRST FRC robot season that begins next month with a world-wide kickoff on January 5.

The Oswego Robotic team appreciates the support of our two main sponsors: Oswego School District 308 and Caterpillar.
