Photo Slideshow: Oswego Students Artwork Showcased at Joliet Junior College Art Exhibit

Oswego High School student Thomas Mereness was recognized with an Award of Excellence.

Oswego and Oswego East High School student artwork was recently showcased at the 2012 Joliet Junior College Area High School Art Exhibition.  The exhibition was held at the Laura A. Sprague Art Gallery.

This exhibition consisted of a two-part jury format.  First, student’s artwork was selected by Oswego visual art instructors; only five pieces of artwork were chosen from each school.

Next, students work was juried by the full-time Joliet Junior College (JJC) studio art faculty in various categories.  Those found deserving by JJC jurors earned the Award of Excellence.  Seventeen area students were recognized with an Award of Excellence for their outstanding achievement, including one from Oswego High School, Thomas Mereness.
