Celebration of Quilts and More! June Events in Oswego!

It’s that time of year again and event season has begun in Oswego! June will bring us lots of great events, including the second annual Celebration of Quilts; Oswego’s quilting festival, presented by Prairie Stitches and the Village of Oswego.

This event will take place on June 1st on Main Street in Historic Downtown Oswego from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. It’s going to be a day you won’t want to miss! Enjoy the quilts hanging up and down Main Street and the fun activities including; quilting demonstrations, appraisals, raffles, bed turnings by the Ladies of the Civil War, a Spring Market Review, food, and special vendors!

Most importantly, Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts will return to sign copies of her new book. Make sure to check out her popular blog at www.laundrybasketquilts.com!

Another fantastic event located in downtown Oswego is the all new Market on Main Street! We’ve moved the Antique Market to Main Street and added entertainment, food and artisan vendors to the already featured quality antiques and repurposed finds!

Join us on Friday nights in downtown Oswego on June 28th, July 26th, August 30, and September 27th from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. for Market on Main Street, brought to you by the Village of Oswego and Re-Joyce Design and Consign, located at 76 Main Street.

June will also bring Cabernet Caberet, Wild Things and Wanderlust hosted by Arranmore Arts! To kick off the season, and celebrate the return of summer, CabCab will feature songs about breaking free and hitting the road!

There will be songs about getting a little crazy and songs about places we have been- and want to find. Some examples of songs are: “Wild Thing” and “Georgia on My Mind”. The Cabernet Cabaret Concert Series provides an experience like none other in the region. These open-air musical events take place on the expansive lawn of Arranmore Farm, featuring distinctive themes and an eclectic mix of musical selections. Cabernet Cabaret attracts and showcases some of Chicagoland’s most exceptional performers.

The event is B.Y.O.P. (Bring Your Own Party)! Make it a cocktail party with friends, an intimate dinner for two or just an excuse to get out with neighbors. Bring your own spread of food and drink, chairs and blankets, and choose a spot on their perfectly manicured lawn. Cabernet Cabaret, Wild Things and Wanderlust takes place on June 22nd at Arranmore Polo Club located at 34 Rance Road in Oswego.
