Oswego All Weekend Long!

A blog about events in downtown Oswego Septemeber 29th and 30th, 2012!

Fall is officially here and it’s bringing some great events to Historic Downtown
Oswego, all weekend long!

Saturday, September 29th brings Brew at the Bridge brought to you by the
Oswegoland Park District. Enjoy Oswego’s craft beer festival along the Fox
River in Hudson Crossing Park from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Craft beer
enthusiasts will enjoy sampling beer from all over the Midwest. The festival
will feature breweries who have earned top reputations in the Chicagoland area,
as well as emerging breweries whose stellar kegs are ready to pave a new trail.
Some of the breweries include Boston Brewery out of Plainfield, Solemn Oath
Brewery from Naperville and Two Brothers Brewing Company in Warrenville. The event will even feature cider from Magners Irish Cider, a personal favorite!

The invited breweries will have staff on hand to answer questions about their
selections. $15 buys you a souvenir tasting pilsner glass and five tasting
tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase. Enjoy great
live entertainment with bands ranging from Callaloo to Dime Store Strings Band
and delicious food which is the perfect compliment to all the awesome craft
brews. From pizza and BBQ to pretzels and sausages, there will be plenty of
variety to keep you going strong!

Worried about getting to and from the event? Then be sure to book a hotel package deal at one of Oswego's inviting hotels like Holiday Inn Express (http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/en/reservation/roomrate) or AmericInn Lodge & Suites (https://www.americinn.com/Hotels/IL/Oswego/rooms). These two great hotels are offering special Brew at the Bridge package deals which include tickets to the event and special party bus transportation to get you to the event and back in comfort and in style! Both hotels have swimming pools and include a hot breakfast as well!

After a proper nights rest, head back downtown on Sunday for Sundays in Oswego! Start your day with the Oswego Antique Market which kicks off at 8:00 a.m. on Jackson Street. Stay for the Country Market on Main Street where you’ll find fresh produce, baked goods, and flowers from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. And make sure to stick around for live music at our last Concert in the Park of the season with the band Copy Cat from 12:00 p.m.to 2:00 p.m. in Hudson Crossing Park.
