Driving Oswego: Your Picks for the Most Dangerous Intersections

We asked our readers to tell us what they consider the most dangerous intersections in Oswego. Here's what they said.

We asked readers on the Oswego Patch Facebook last week to tell us the worst intersections in Oswego.

With their comments, we started the above map that you can help us populate with your picks.

Several readers commented on various intersections along Wolf Road, including Fifth Street, Harvey and Douglas.

"During the school year from 7:30-9:00 this is terrible," said one reader of Wolf and Douglas.

Douglas and Route 34 also got a few votes, with one reader writing, "Heading south on Douglas turning left onto 34 the left turning light is not near long enough for the amount of traffic. Plus once you turn left onto 34 you get stopped by every light in the morning. It's ridiculous."

Downtown Oswego, specifically at Main and Washington/34 also received a notice for the pedestrians. "I think someone, some day is going to get hurt badly at 34 and Main," wrote one person. "So many times I have stopped at the flashing light for a pedestrian and I see cars coming up on the other side not seeing the pedestrian crossing in front of the other car. They are well over the 20 mile/hour speed limit as well."

How to add your own contribution to the map:

You can add locations to this map if we missed what you think is the most dangerous intersection. Simply click the "Add" button in the upper-right corner of the map and enter the location of the problem area and a description of the problem. You can also drag the marker directly onto the map if you are not sure how to describe the intersection.

Where else is of concern? Tell us in the comments below.
