A little about me...

Welcome to my blog and thanks for stopping by!  You're probably wondering who I am and why you should read my blog.  My name is Amanda and I live in Sugar Grove.  I am the founder/owner of Triple Power Beauty by Amanda as well as the founder/formulator of Beauty From Above Holistic Skin Care.  As far back as I can remember, I have loved everything about skin care, makeup, beautiful jewelry, fashion ect.  I went to beauty school in 2003 and completed my Esthetics program.  I worked at a couple of spas, but I always felt like there was something missing.  Something I wasn't giving my clients but I could not quite put my finger on it.  I briefly left the beauty business and took a job in a retail setting.  I took this time to begin focusing on what I felt I had been missing.  The holistic side of skin care.  I began to do research and discovered that diet, supplements, exercise and stress affect the skin.  For example, when you have a breakout that is actually the culmination of an underlying issue inside the body.  The pimples on the skin are the side affect trying to tell you something is off.  In order to stop the breakouts, you must find and treat what is going on on the inside.  Hence why many people suffer for years with acne and have tried several different kinds of treatments with temporary or little results.  During this time, I also discovered how your own energy and emotions affects your body and the skin.  I'm sure you have heard people say their face breaks out when they are under a lot of stress, or they break out in hives when they are worrying too much.  Again this is our bodies way of telling us something is out of balance.  I found that to have healthy skin you need to address three main areas.  The inside of the body, the outside of the body and the energy field.  This is the formula I follow for all of my skin care coaching and therapy.  I have used this formula on myself and my family with great results.  And it is a work in progress.  The thing I love about it, is I know my body very well now that I can usually figure out what it is that is causing the issue.  Then you can take appropriate actions to put the body and skin back in balance.  Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my first entry!
