Blood Drive to Help Oswego Senior Set for Saturday

The blood drive will help Oswego senior Tia Carr who has a rare blood disorder, as well as countless others.

The tenth blood drive to help current Oswego High School senior Tia Carr is about to get underway.

Carr has Common Variable Immune Deficiency, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Uvitis (Arthritis in the eyes) which requires her to receive a blood transfusion every seven weeks to remain healthy and live a normal life. One dose requires over 3,500  people to donate.

The blood drive will take place through Red Cross on Saturday, July 13 at the Oswego Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
