ECO Hosting Fall Reuse and Recycling Extravaganza this Saturday

Event will take place at Public Works Facility.

Been down to your basement lately? Notice that growing pile of “stuff” in the corner that you need to get rid of but just don’t know how?

The ECO Reuse and Recycling Extravaganza is your answer.

The Village of Oswego and the Environmentally Conscious Oswego (ECO) Commission will hold their fall Extravaganza on Saturday, September 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Public Works Facility, 100 Theodore Drive.

ECO will accept many items, including:  bubble wrap, packing peanuts, padded envelopes, air pillows, used motor oil, paint, scrap metal, books, cardboard, old lawn mowers, batteries and electronics.

All drop offs will be free of charge except for paint, which will require a small fee.

ECO adds that volunteering at the Extravaganza is a great way to help your community, and the Earth. Volunteers should be middle school age and older.
