Little White School Museum Looking for Volunteers

Volunteers would only need to have an interest in local history and heritage and enjoy working with children.

Each year in either the fall, from September through October, or spring, April and May, Oswego’s Little White Museum hosts field trips that bring every third grade class in the Oswego School District for educational half-day tours.

Each classroom participates in a two-part tour. Half the class takes an outdoor walking tour through historic Oswego while the other half of the class takes an indoor tour of the museum, and participates in three hands-on, history-related activity stations.

The museum is seeking volunteers to assist during their tour seasons. All information is provided; no teaching experience is required, only an interest in local history and heritage and enjoyment working with children. Volunteers are invited to participate as often or as seldom as they wish.
