Patch Invites You to Salute the Veterans in Your Life

Friday is Veterans Day, and we're giving our readers the chance to honor the veterans in their life by posting photos and thanking them for their service.

Uncle. Sister. Grandfather. Neighbor. The odds are fairly high that one of those people—or someone else you know—has served in a branch of the U.S. military.

On Friday, Nov. 11, the country celebrates Veterans Day, and Oswego Patch wants to help readers honor the veterans in their lives by telling the community about those men and women who've served their country through the years. Upload photos of family members and friends who were part of the armed services and share a little bit about why you're proud of them.

Here's your chance to thank those veterans for their service and remind everyone in Oswego how important they are to the country.

We'll start it off with a photo of Joe Van Tuyle a U.S. Navy Radioman Frist Class during World War II. Van Tuyle, father of Oswego's Jeannie LaMarre, recently took an honor flight trip to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial.
