Village Board to Discuss and Vote Downtown Signage

Seen one too many advertising banners for your liking during your stroll downtown? Maybe not anymore.

Walking around downtown Oswego do you feel overwhelmed with advertisements from local businesses?

Many Village trustees feel that there are too many signs in downtown Oswego, proclaiming everything from sales to store hours to toting a specific product. And enough is enough.

The board will be discussing Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. sign limits in downtown (if you're a downtown business owner and are fond of the sandwich board, you'll be pretty happy, I think!).

A full agenda of the  meeting can be seen here.

Also this week:

  • Limelight Theater is putting on A Christmas Carol. Remember what's really important this holiday season by traveling back with cast and Scrooge this Thursday - Saturday.
  • Fox River Academy is putting on a beautiful harp recital on Friday. Don't miss it!
  • And Monday is the last day to vote for the best burger in Oswego. Cast your vote here!
