FraidyCat 5K This Sunday in Oswego

Plus a Monster Mash, Oktoberfest celebration and more this weekend in Oswego.

Ready to run for your life?

No? That's good, because the annual FraidyCat 5K run isn't supposed to be scary, just Halloween-themed.

The 5K along with the Meow Mile are on Sunday, Oct. 27. You can sign up online until 12 p.m. on Oct. 24, otherwise you can register at the Chamber office or at packet pick-up. You can find all the details about running or cheering for the race here.

And don't forget! It's Ray Heriaud's 500th race so be sure to give him an extra loud cheer when he goes by!

Also this weekend:

  • Wheatland Harvest Church is hosting their annual Harvest - Jam on Saturday.
  • Before October is over you still have a chance to celebrate Oktoberfest over at Firehouse Pizza and Pub.
  • Your kids dying to wear their Halloween costumes already? Take them to Bickford Senior Living for some early trick-or-treating!
  • It was the Monster Mash, it was a graveyard smash! Not quite, but there is a Monster Mash over at OHS on Saturday through the park district. Click here for details.
