Let it Rain, Let it Snow, Let it Sleet: Oswego's Weekend Weather Forecast

Oswego will be hit with a "wintry mix" of the elements on Saturday.

Not quite the holiday weather any of us were hoping for.

Starting Friday afternoon light, freezing rain is expected in the area and could continue into tonight, according to the National Weather Service. Ice accumulation is possible and driving or walking in untreated areas is cautioned. Fog is also expected Friday afternoon.

Sleet and freezing rain is expected over the weekend and cold temperatures with wind chills below zero are to greet us come Monday.

The NWS is calling the rain and snow a “wintry mix” and it is expected with a 50 percent chance on Saturday, which will turn into an 80 percent chance of snow on Monday.

The weather should clear up for Christmas Eve on Tuesday, although the high temperature is expected to only be about 15 degrees.
