Held Father's Day weekend, the festival includes concerts by major names, a carnival and merchant tents. PrairieFest Park is leased from Oswego Community Unit School District 308 and is adjacent to Oswego High School. Restrooms are located throughout the area.

The smaller of Oswego Community Unit School District 308's two high schools, Oswego High School beats the state'sMore average graduation rate by nearly five percent with 93.3 percent earning their diplomas. The district completed a 2.5-year renovation project on the school built in the fall of 2010. Small classes made way for larger rooms and large amounts of natural light now fill the school. Upgrades were made to the school's technological and mechanic workings as well.

In 1961, Districts 300 and District 8 merged to form Oswego Community Unit School District 308. Activities surroundingMore the district's 50th anniversary were planned for the 2010-11 school year. The office campus,  located near the corner of Chicago Road and Route 71, is also home to the district's registation center. East View Elementary School, which closed in 2009, is located at the west end of the campus. The district includes two high school, four junior high schools, 13 elementary school and an early education center. The district serves students from Oswego, Plainfield, Montgomery, Auora and a small part of Joliet.

Built in 2004, Oswego East High School is home to 2,157 students and has a graduation rate of 93.2 percent (as of 2010).More The school draws students from Montgomery, Aurora, Oswego and Plainfield and was built during a large enrollment increase in the early to mid-2000s. The school's construction has proven insufficient to hold all the district's students, however, and a third high school is planned for the district in the coming years.
