Election 2013: Information and Dates for Those Interested in Running in Oswego April Elections

Four public bodies have open positions in the 2013 election.

With the first filing deadline for April elections coming up in less than a week, it’s time to take a look at what that means for you. There are four local bodies holding elections in April 2013: Oswego 308 School Board, Oswego Village Board, Oswegoland Park District Board and the Oswego Public Library Board. Due to a new state law passed in November, the filing deadline to get your name on the ballot has been extended to Dec. 26 until at least 5 p.m. originally from Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. The first date you can submit your petition is Dec. 17 at 8:00 a.m. Want free local news in your inbox every morning?
