The wait for a new Oswego Dunkin’ Donuts is over. The location inside the Prairie Market Shopping Center along Route 34 is set to open on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 5:00 a.m. Rob Mittman, director of marketing for The Hari Group that is overseeing the new Dunkin’, said the restaurant will be sending and handing out 20,000 coupons to help support Oswego High School and Oswego East High School Booster programs. The coupons will be for a free medium or large hot or iced coffee with a $1 donation to either school’s booster program. The Dunkin' Donuts is located in Prairie Market Shopping Center along Route 34.
The wait is almost over for a Dunkin' Donuts in Oswego. Oswego has been without a Dunkin' Donuts after the location inside Gas City, at Routes 34 and 71, was bought out by Speedway in May 2011. That will soon change as the new Dunkin' Donuts, located in the Prairie Market Shopping Center along Route 34, plans to open before Christmas, according to Rob Mittman, director of marketing for The Hari Group, which is overseeing the new Dunkin’. Already the outside signage is visible and Mittman said the restaurant "looks fantastic." Mittman said the Dunkin' upon opening will run a promotion with both high schools to raise money for their booster programs. The Dunkin’ will be situated at the east end of the retail strip that also houses …

Drive-through is almost complete.
Remember how back in January there was news of a Dunkin’ Donuts coming to town? For Dunkin' fans, it's almost time to begin celebrating. Oswego lost its Gas City Dunkin’ Donuts in May 2011 when the location on Routes 34 and 71 was bought out by Speedway. Plans have been in the works to build a Dunkin’ in the Prairie Market shopping center along Route 34. The Dunkin’ will be situated at the east end of the retail strip that also houses Chipotle, Vision Works, Sport Clips and Jersey Mike's. Rob Mittman, director of marketing for The Hari Group, which is overseeing the new Dunkin’, said that currently the drive-through is almost done and the plumbing is roughed in. “We are hoping for a late fall opening,” he said. Stay updated with the Oswego…

Drive-through gets go-ahead from trustees.
When the Gas City gas station at routes 34 and 71 was bought out by Speedway in May, Oswego’s only Dunkin’ Donuts went with it. Now, it seems as if the famous coffee and donut merchant may be headed back to town. A proposal for a drive-through store at the east end of the retail strip that houses Chipotle, Vision Works, Sport Clips and Jersey Mike's on Route 34 was approved by the Village Board Tuesday night. The store’s developer, Bud Patel, is proposing a 24-hour drive-through for the location which requires an amendment to the planned unit development in the Prairie Market shopping center. The drive-through would be located at the rear of the building. Village staff recommended approving the drive-through amendment along with another …

Oswego's Gas City location was sold to Speedway last month. The store will close tonight and reopen Friday without Dunkin' Donuts.
Anyone who is a regular drinker of Dunkin' Donuts coffee will tell you that the morning pick-me-up can turn into a powerful addiction. Customers who have gotten their fix of caffeine at the only Oswego Dunkin' Donuts location inside the Gas City at Route 34 and Wolfs Crossing Road will now have to start brewing their own at home, find another supplier or develop a taste for Speedway coffee starting Friday. Gas City gas stations and convenience stores, including the Oswego location, acquired by Speedway at the company's April bankruptcy auction are set to close at 8 p.m. Thursday and re-open Friday morning under their new name. Speedway will not keep open the Dunkin' Donuts located inside the station. "This is terrible news," said Justin …

Glad to see business growth and Dunkin's good reputation precedes it. This opening will increase competition with similar merchants and offer more choices. Congrats to all who made it happen.   more ›
