Moving from Douglas Road to the village's center has been catalyst for more business at Floral Expressions and Gifts.
All too often, shops on America's Main Street either shut down or move out to strip malls in search of a more steady stream of foot traffic. However, this is not the case for Terri Platt and daughter, Megan Dell'Aringa. Since 2001, the two have been working side by side at Floral Expressions & Gifts, including the last two years at their current location at 67 South Main St. in downtown Oswego. "Opening a flower shop was something I had always wanted to do, but I waited until my children were older," Platt said. "It wouldn't have been fair to them, being so busy at the holidays, I wouldn't have had time for them and work."
