Florida Woman Charged with Unlawful Use of Credit Card, Sheriff's Office Seeking Public's Assistance

The Kendall County Sheriff's office is seeking the public's assistance in locating a Florida woman recently charged with the unlawful use of a credit card. On Sept. 8, 2012, Sheriff's deputies responded to the Kendall County Public Safety Center in Yorkville for a report of an unlawful use of a credit card. The victim reported that the offender had made charges on his credit card without his consent. An investigation was launched and Suzanne C. King, 48, of the 1600 block of Flager Drive West Palm Beach, Florida was issued a warrant on April 16 for the unlawful use of a credit card forgery, a class 3 felony with bond of 10 percent of $100,000. Woman Reportedly Dragged By a Vehicle By Her Hair: Sheriff

DUI Alejandro Reynoso, 35, of the 1500 block of Liberty Street, Aurora, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. at West Anchor Drive and Route 31 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for improper lane usage. Obstructing identification, no valid driver’s license, warrant Charles Canada, 27, of the 2800 block of Hoffman Street, Plano, was arrested at 11:05 p.m. at Route 34 and Game Farm Road, Yorkville, and charged for obstructing identification by providing a false name, driving without a license and a warrant out of Cook County for possession of a controlled substance, said the sheriff’s office. Sheriff's Office Swears in New Patrol Deputy

Jacob Roberts will began his training on April 8.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has hired a new Deputy to fill a vacant position. Jacob Roberts was recently sworn in as a Patrol Deputy for the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. He began his training at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy in Glen Ellyn, Illinois on April 8th, 2013. Deputy Jacob Roberts is a graduate of the Plano High School, and will be graduating in May from Western Illinois University with a Degree in Criminal Justice.

Passing Motorists Assist Deputy After Subject Becomes Violent

Juan Carlos Padilla, 24, of Montgomery was given multiple charges including aggravated battery and possession of 30.1 grams of hashish.

A Montgomery man is facing multiple charges following his arrest on Sunday, March 31 in which two passing motorists assisted a deputy, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Juan Carlos Padilla, 24, of the 0-99 block of Briarcliff Road, Montgomery, was charged with aggravated battery, resisting a peace officer, fleeing a police officer, possession of cannabis (30.1 grams of hashish) and two in-state warrants: one out of Kendall County for failure to appear for a battery charge and one out of Kane County for obstructing justice. Kendall Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop Padilla’s vehicle at Douglas and Fernwood Roads, Oswego, after witnessing him disobey a traffic control device at at 12:06 a.m. on Sunday. That's probably true, HG. I very rarely see arrest for that though, it's always pot. Perhaps it's time to forget about pot and worry about hard core drugs that do real damage. I'm not saying pot id harmless, it's not. But neither is alcohol. Cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, Vicodin, Oxycontin, and Morphine are very addicting and cause serious health problems.   more ›

59 Citations Issued in Kendall County Sheriff Special Traffic Enforcement Campaign

The campaign was conducted from March 12 through March 20.

The following release was issued by the Kendall County Sherif's Office: The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office announced the results of the St. Patrick’s Day Holiday Campaign that was held between March 12 and March 20.  During this time Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Deputies issued 59 citations.  The law enforcement crackdown is funded by federal traffic safety funds through IDOT’s Division of Traffic Safety.

Pair Claim Child Made 911 Call, Then Charged with Pot Possession: Sheriff

Aggravated battery to a police officer, obstructing a police officer, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia Ryan Wayne Miller, 23, of the 2800 block of Troon Drive, Montgomery, and Jessica Leann Whitlock, 22, of the 0-99 block of Paddock Road, Montgomery, were arrested at 2:25 a.m. at Whitlock’s residence, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Deputies went to the residence after a 911 hang-up call in which dispatchers relayed to the deputies that a 6-year-old had been playing with the phone and deputies determined no child was involved in the incident, but a domestic violence incident between Miller and Whitlock. Female Juvenile Runs Vehicle Onto Sidewalk to Talk to Ex-Boyfriend

She was charged for reckless driving and damage to property in the incident.

A female juvenile was charged with reckless driving and criminal damage to property for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, March 26 at 4:43 p.m. at Marnel and Surrey Road, Oswego, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. The female juvenile, 17, from Aurora, mistook a subject running on the sidewalk to be her ex-boyfriend, who she had been attempting to contact. She then drove her vehicle on the sidewalk and into a residential front yard in an attempt to cut off what she thought was her ex-boyfriend. The residence owner declined to prosecute for criminal damage to property in the incident.  No one was reported hurt in the incident.

DUI Josephus Turner, 62, of the 500 block of California Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 8:51 p.m. at Cannonball and North, Bristol, and charged with driving under the influence after deputies witnessed him weaving within the lane of travel and he failed field sobriety tests, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Warrant Cassey Antionette Van Deveer, 26, of the 100 block of Heathgate Road, Montgomey, was arrested at 12:19 a.m. at Pendleton Place and Heathgate Road and charged with a warrant out of Kendall County for failure to appear in court for obstructing a police officer, said the Sheriff’s office. Man Found Sleeping in Field, Charged with DUI: Sheriff

DUI Ryan Allen Sloan, 27, of the 4300 block of Wavery Road, Erin, Tenn., was arrested at 1:24 a.m. in the 10000 block of Corneils Road, Bristol, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle parked in a barn in the area and found Sloan. Zero tolerance, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor Harrison Scott Warpinski, 19, of the 10300 block of Neward Road, Newark, was arrested at 6:52 a.m. in the 8400 block of West Highpoint Road, Kendall, and charged with zero tolerance and the illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, said the Sheriffs office. I've seen family members use domestic battery accusations as a way to punish other family members. There is now a mandatory 24 hour incarceration period (you sit in jail overnight). The intention of the law was good, but it's being applied and enforced in all the wrong ways. So there are often charges brought regardless of how serious (or frivolous) it may be.   more ›

Two Aurora Men Charged with Multiple Boat Thefts

All boats were taken from the Barber Green Hunting and Fishing Club in 2012.

Two Aurora men have been charged with six counts of theft in relation to boat theft incidents that occurred in August 2012, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. Thomas Richards, 59, and Jerry Richards, 65 both of the 500 block of South Loucks Street, Aurora, were arrested on March 12 and charged with six counts of theft, Class A misdemeanors. Sheriff’s deputies first responded to a report of a boat theft on Nov. 29, 2012 at the Barber Green Hunting and Fishing Club, located in the 6000 block of Route 71, Oswego. The victim said their boat had been taken sometime during August 2012 from the club. The Sheriff’s office received five other reports of boats that had been reported taken in August 2012.
