Update, 2:45 p.m. Thursday Captain Jeff Burger of the Oswego Police Department said they have found and charged the driver of the vehicle. A sixteen year old juvenile, female, was charged with failure in the duty to provide to aid or information for the incident, said Burgner. Original Oswego Police are seeking the public’s assistance in a hit and run incident of a car versus a pedestrian at Oswego East High School. Police received a report of a incident at about 2:30 p.m. at the Oswego East parking lot that involved one vehicle and three pedestrians. One of the pedestrians involved received minor injuries. A group of students in the Mu Alpha Theta membership at Oswego East helped in a student-to-student online tutoring system.
Oswego East students were recognized Monday night for their participation in the online student to student tutoring system, Study Buddy. The students, who are members of the international mathematics honor society Mu Alpha Theta membership, help their classmates with math through an online tutoring system. Two Oswego East students, Kevin Anselmo and Abigail Klick, were featured on Fox News for a segment about Study Buddy, as Study Buddy representatives said Oswego East has the most active chapter in all of Chicagoland. The band played on Feb. 19 at Oswego High School.
Fifty-one District 308 high school band members were chosen to participate in the 2013 Southwest Prairie Conference Honor Bands festival on February 19. The festival was held at Oswego High School and had several guest conductors, including:Dr. Charlie Menghini, Director of Bands and President at Vandercook College of Music, Chicago; and John Heath, retired Director of Bands at Batavia High School in Batavia and past president of the Illinois Music Educator Association. New entrance faces east toward Harvey Road, instead of south toward Wolf Road.
Due to the construction at Oswego East High School, the main entrance has found a new home. The entrance is now located at Door Number 7, facing east toward Harvey Road instead of south toward Wolf Road. All visitors will be required to enter through Door 7 and show proper identification to be admitted inside. Student entry will also be undergoing some changes with the new door. All changes can be read at the Oswego 308 School Website.

Giselle Poss earns title of IHSA State Bowling Champion at Feb. 9 the IHSA State bowling tournament held in Rockford.
The Oswego East girls bowling team was quite literally on a roll at the IHSA State Bowling Tournament this past weekend in Rockford. The Wolves placed second as a team with 12,286 pins, only behind Waubonsie Valley who rallied to 12,512 points on Saturday to take first, according to the Chicago Tribune. Oswego East senior Giselle Poss earned the title of girls bowling state champion on the second day of the tournament, ending with a total of 2,727 pins. “"I've been under a lot of pressure before, so I know what it's like to face what she (Malone) was facing," Poss told the Tribune, referring to Emily Malone of Rockford Jefferson who took second.
