Candidate profiles, race information and more for the upcoming April 9 election for races in the Village of Oswego.
The filing period for municipal elections ended Dec. 26 for the April 9 election. Here’s the 2013 Oswego Election Central Hub where you can find all candidate profiles for each race, links to articles, letters to the editor in support of a candidate and running candidate’s blog entries. Follow along with election results for Oswego by viewing our results page here. Early voting takes place from March 25 - April 4. Voters can cast their ballots at Oswego Village Hall or the Kendall County Office Building. The 2013 election takes place on April 9. Who's Running: Oswego Candidates for the April Election
A roundup of who's running for Oswego Village Board, Oswego 308 School Board, Oswego Park Board and Oswego Public Library Board.
Oswego Patch wants to make sure you have all the information you need when you head to the polls on April 9. Stay tuned for more coverage in the weeks leading up to the election. (All candidates are listed in alphabetical order.) Village of Oswego Three trustee seats are available for four-year terms. Oswego 308 Four board seats are available for four-year terms (one seat must be filled from an unincorporated area). Oswegoland Park District One seat is available for a six-year term. Park Board president Bill Mattingly said that the open chair left by Leonard Wass, who resigned from the board in December, will be chosen by appointmenet and the term will end in 2015. With the first filing deadline for April elections coming up in less than a week, it’s time to take a look at what that means for you. There are four local bodies holding elections in April 2013: Oswego 308 School Board, Oswego Village Board, Oswegoland Park District Board and the Oswego Public Library Board. Due to a new state law passed in November, the filing deadline to get your name on the ballot has been extended to Dec. 26 until at least 5 p.m. originally from Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. The first date you can submit your petition is Dec. 17 at 8:00 a.m. Want free local news in your inbox every morning?
