Walkways and bridges will need repaired or rebuilt and debris must be removed from the park.
Hudson Crossing Park did not fare well with the flooding of April 18. Between Waubonsie Creek and the Fox River, the park "took a devastating hit," said Rich Zielke, Executive Director of the Oswegoland Park District. Piles of gravel, silt, mud and other debris cover the park from where the waterways overflowed and dragged their contents on land. Zielke said in addition to the debris, there are about four inches of mud that was dumped on the safety surface of the playground that will need to be removed before the park can re-open. "Walkways and pedestrian bridges need to be repaired and in some cases rebuilt," he said. "There is significant restoration and cleanup that will need to happen before this wonderful park is back open for public…

Monday, April 22
The following is from a release provided by the Oswegoland Park District: Due to a lack of a quorum, the Board of Park Commissioners for the Oswegoland Park District will hold their regular May meeting on Thursday, May 23, 2013. This is a change from the regularly scheduled meeting date. The meeting will be held in the Multipurpose Room at South Point Center, 810 Preston Lane, Oswego. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
A residential cul-de-sac with an island will also receive parking restrictions.
Do you park your car along Ashlawn or Circle Drive West outside the Oswegoland Park District Civic Center? Not anymore. The Village of Oswego board voted unanimously to approve parking restrictions along those roads as well as a cul-de-sac in Lincoln Station upon requests from the Park District and the subdivision's Home Owner's Association. Police Chief Dwight Baird said the Park District's request came as "it related to their operations at the civic center." Also, the restriction of parking cars along the roadway would "reduce possibility of someone darting out between cars." The no-parking restriction would only apply to Ashlawn and Circle Drive West on the park district's side of the roadway. "I do not see a big hinderance, it does …
