There are some pretty amazing people living in Oswego. In December we asked you to pick who you felt deserved the distinction of the Oswego Patch Person of the Year for their positive impact on the community. Over 100 nominations later for people from all over the Oswego community, I am pleased to present Kylie Schimmel the title of Oswego Patch Person of the Year 2012. Kylie, an eighth grader at Thompson Junior High, first hit Oswego’s radar when back in October she donated profits from her hand-made bows to help a first grade teacher battling breast cancer. But Kylie didn’t stop there. She continued to sell bows from her shop, Kylie’s Creations, to benefit multiple organizations in the community, like Toys for Tots and Autism research. …

Oops--wasn't thinking clearly yesterday--a bit overwhelmed. Yes Kylie has some of her bows atr the awesome Garden Faire in downtown Oswego and also at Savvy Fashions and More in Mason Square.   more ›
