Three Charged with Felony Retail Theft of Oswego Business: Police

According to police reports, over $2,000 was stolen.

Three individuals were arrested on Friday, Dec. 7 and charged with felony retail theft of an Oswego business, said Oswego Police. Kenneth Buries, 49, of the 600 block of S. 21st Ave, Maywood; Bonita Washington, 48, of the of 1600 block of S. Lawndale Ave, Chicago; and Jennifer Washington, 43, of the 1800 block of Kilove Ave., Chicago were charged with retail theft as a criminal felony on Dec. 7 at 8:10 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34, Oswego. A total of $2,038.63 was reported stolen. Jennifer Washington also faces charges for obstructing identification. They are scheduled for a court date of Dec. 13 for the felony retail theft charge. J. Washington has a court date of Jan. 2 for the additional charge.

Crime Stoppers: Seeking Information About Retail Theft

Editor's Note: The following is a release provided by the Kendall County Sheriff's office: The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information in reference to a retail theft that occurred at Newark BP 303 E. Route 71, Newark, unincorporated Kendall County. The incident occurred at about 6:45 p.m. Nov. 9. The suspect took several items from the gas station.  The suspect is a female with a dark in color hooded sweatshirt and lighter jeans or pants.  The offender arrived in a white four-door vehicle.  The pictures depict the suspect and the vehicle. Oswego Teen Who Allegedly Hit Montgomery Officer with Car Facing New Charge

Kendall J. Collier, 19, of Oswego, has been charged with retail theft from an incident in July.

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies have concluded their investigation into a retail theft that took place July 27 at a business located in the 0-100 block of Light Road. Kendall J. Collier, 19, was charged with retail theft, a class A misdemeanor, for the theft of a $16.49 bottle of Bacardi Rum, said the Kendall County Sheriff's office.  Collier is currently being held at the Kane County Sheriff’s Jail for the previous charge of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol in which on Sept. 29 he allegedly struck a Montgomery police officer, Sgt. Adam Kuncl. Kuncl suffered a skull fracture, which required stitches, along with a broken scapula, compressed discs in his back and multiple lacerations and bruises to his head, face and body…

Oswego Police: Man Charged for Felony Retail Theft

Luis Escamilla of Cicero was identified by multiple jurisdictions.

A Cicero man has been charged with felony retail theft from an incident in May 2012 that occurred in the 2900 block of Route 34, according to Oswego Police. Luis Escamilla, 31, of the 1600 block of South 59th Avenue, Cicero, was issued a warrant for his arrest for felony retail theft.  In May he removed over $4,000 worth of cell phones from display cases from a store in the 2900 block of Route 34, said Oswego police. Multiple jurisdictions with similar incidents worked together to identify Escamilla. His bail has been set at $5,000 with 10 percent required to be posted. Man Charged with Retail Theft

Jason B. Pierce has been charged with retail theft of alcohol from Oswego business.

Editor's Note: Taken from a release from the Oswego Police Department Oswego Police have concluded the investigation of a report taken in June 2012 where a male suspect left a business in the 3000 block Of Route 34 with over $400 in alcohol without offering payment. Jason B. Pierce, 47, of the 600 block of South River Street in Aurora, was charged with Retail Theft, a class-3 felony. A warrant was issued for Pleroes' arrest with bail being $25,000 and 10 percent required to be posted. The arrest warrant has not been served at the time of this release.

CrimeStoppers Seeks Information About a Retail Theft

Theft occured on July 27, 2012.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office provided the following news release: The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information in reference to a Retail Theft which took place at the Oswego Food Mart located at 100 Light Road,  Oswego Illinois unincorporated Kendall County. On 07-27-2012 at approximately 1:45 PM a male black offender stole a bottle of rum from the store. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to attempt to identify the individual in the attached picture. Anyone with information on this or other crimes is urged to call Kendall County Crime Stoppers at (630) 553-5999. Callers remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to 1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of the offenders.

Two adults and a juvenile were charged with retail theft after an incident around 7 p.m. at Kohl's Department Store, 2500 Route 34. Oswego police said more than $150 worth of merchandise was taken by Trejamario Cook, 18, 32 Hampton Road, Montgomery; Alonte Smith, 18, 8 Birchwood Court, Montgomery; and a juvenile. Christian Theinkeu, 37, of 145 Linden Drive, was charged with domestic battery around 9:30 a.m., according to Oswego police. Police said he was taken into custody and taken to Kane County Jail. An Oswego man reported about $65 worth of items were taken without permission from a birthday party at about 5:15 p.m. at 2870 Route 34, Oswego officers said.
