Montgomery Sam's Club Proposal Nearing a Vote
Warehouse chain in negotiations to locate in Ogden Hill retail development.
Montgomery could be home to a Sam’s Club warehouse store as early as next fall if the Village Board approves the development at its next meeting. The store will be located on the western edge of the Ogden Hill retail development that also houses JC Penny and Menards, according to village documents. The village’s Plan Commission approved several variance recommendations this week. The Village Board’s Committee of the Whole will hear those plans and their variances at its meeting set for Tuesday. The development is likely to come before the Village Board for a vote Feb. 25. Plans for the store also include a tire center and gas station.
