National Weather Service: Oswego Area Could Get Six Inches of Snow

A winter storm watch is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for areas of Kendall and Will counties, including Oswego, effective Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening. Snow — possibly mixed with sleet — is expected to begin Tuesday morning, continuing into the afternoon and tapering to lighter snow Tuesday evening. Snowfall may be heavy at times throughout the day Tuesday, according to the NWS. Snow accumulation over six inches is possible across the area, according to the winter storm watch. In the Village of Oswego, residents are prohibited from parking on Oswego streets any time snow reaches a depth of two or more inches until streets have been plowed, according to ordinance No. 02-72.  For winter weather warnings on traffic, check …

Ha hahahahaha they have been wrong the past 2 majors storms for us. So is 3 times a charm so to say. I'll go with since they missed out on the other 2, that we get only 2 inches at best here in the Oswegoland area, which includes Montgomery, Southwest Aurora, and then it will melt in about a week anyway. The snow blower is a lonely piece of equipment these days. :-)   more ›
