Scotty's Grand Opening Set for Saturday

Either way, owner Scott Goins is ready to make your acquaintance at Scotty’s grand opening on Saturday, August 18. A firefighter for 18 years at both Yorkville and Oswego fire districts and an auxiliary deputy sheriff at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, Goins has made the theme of his restaurant “heroes.” Goins has sons in both the Marines and the National Guard. His father was the previous chief at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Many of his friends are part of the Marine corps. But Goins says that you don’t have to be a hero in uniform to be a …

As I looked towards the back of the place they all stood around standing and talking to either the owner or …   more ›

This is one day I really enjoy. I don't do it a lot, but I really let loose on St Patty's Day. I like to try and hit all the local Oswego hot spots, but go with a designated driver. I'm almost 50 and love have fun with friends and making new ones. Remember, the key to having fun bar hopping is to be responsible. Hope to share some fun and laughs on Saturday.   more ›

Chowdown Showdown

Who’s Got Oswego’s Most Bone Fide Burger?

Here's our take on where to go to find hamburger heaven.
