Oswego Business Owner's Mom Diagnosed with Cancer, Business Hours to Change

Starting Oct. 6, the store will be closed on Sundays.

Oswego's Second Born Consignment will be seeing some alternate business hours in the future, but it's not a seasonal change. It's something much more serious.

Owner April Brosett's mother, who is sometimes at the store, was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

"I am telling you this because it is going to affect how I run this store. As I am sure you all understand family comes first over business," wrote Brosett on the Second Born Consignment Facebook page.

Brosett wrote that there may be days the store has to close early or not open at all, and it may take a few extra days to get items on the shelves.

"I do have help and support at the store so hopefully you won’t see much of a change at all," said Brosett.

Any changes will be recorded in the store's voicemail message. Also, starting Oct. 6, the store will be closed on Sundays.

Brosett said that at the moment there is not a donation page set up for her mom, but will keep well-wishers informed when there is.
