Where Will the New Noodles & Company be Located?

After the new additions, the Village of Oswego has a 9.7 percent retail vacancy rate.

A Shorewood-based developer recently announced that it will be build a shopping center along Route 34 in Oswego.

The center will house a 6,900-square-foot building and a 5,700-square-foot building, said Village of Oswego Economic Development Director Vijay Gadde.

The larger building will be home to a Noodles & Company, Potbelly and Supercuts. The second building will be over half-leased as an urgent-care clinic.

All of the businesses are expected to be open by the end of the year, said Gadde.

With the new additions and with the 117,000-square-foot former Lowe's building on the market, Oswego's retail vacancy rate is currently 9.7 percent, said Gadde.

"Staff is working with the Lowe's real estate personnel to attract a targeted list of retailers to fill that space," Gadde added
